Prep ahead simple proteins on THM to make meals and snacks SO MUCH EASIER! Here's how to do it - #thm #trimhealthymama #certifiedtrimhealthymamacoach

Grab and go foods can have a HUGE impact on your ability to stay on plan. Protein prep can save you on busy days – and there are so many options!

When you have proteins prepped, you can grab a protein source anytime for a super quick and easy fuel. (P.S. – I’ve attached a free lean protein cheat sheet for you in this email, so please keep reading if you want it!)

Imagine that your day gets away from you. You’re busy, and you need to run out the door in ten minutes. But you haven’t eaten lunch! The siren call of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (or frozen pizza…or off plan leftovers…or just the M&Ms from that dusty trail mix in your pantry) is hard to ignore, but what if you didn’t even think about that box of blue and orange that we love to hate?

What if your brain immediately went to the three protein prep you did before? What if you knew you had protein sources in your refrigerator that you could build an on-plan meal around in just a few minutes?

If you have baked chicken breast already prepared (FP), you can make the following meals in about 5 minutes:
  • Burrito Bowls
  • Chicken Tacos
  • Chicken Wraps
  • Salad with Chicken
  • Chicken quesadillas
With light cottage cheese (FP), you could make THM’s Waldorf Salad or a THM shake in just a few minutes.
If you have bacon (S), you could make:
  • Bacon and Scrambled Eggs
  • BLTs
  • Cobb Salad

Those are just a few ideas off of the top of my head – there are dozens of things you can make VERY quickly that are completely on plan, not to mention just eating the protein on its own for a quick snack!

In today’s prep session I talked more about our protein prep and made bacon and chicken breast with bonus ideas for both:

We also covered two snack protein prep options – make ahead bulk shake mix and Ultimate E bars here:

I have a free cheat sheet with lean (E or FP-friendly) protein ideas you can download here:
