  1. Is this the same as the Power Pressure Cooker XL? Do you think the recipes/cook times would be comparable? My dad just ordered one of these contraptions, and I hadn’t really thought about getting one. But now that I’ve seen this, I might have to take his for a test-drive!!!

    1. It’s not the same, but most of the linked recipes have instructions for different types of pressure cookers.

  2. Can these recipes be cooked in a regular pressure cooker? Or are they specifically created for the InstaPot?

  3. Which one do you have. I have been burned buying without recommendations. I would love to know which one you are using.

    1. I bought the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1. It’s about $130 on Amazon right now, and I had to save up for awhile, but it’s by far my favorite kitchen appliance right now and I think it’s really worth the money.

  4. Great list! I juse got an Instant Pot for Cyber Monday (and want to get another on Prime Week).

One thing, you may want to change the title for the Sausage and Chicken Stew. The website linked has removed Gumbo from the name because she got so many comments about it not being gumbo. It is an excellent stew, and we will make it again- but it isn’t gumbo. Tomatoes and carrots don’t belong in a gumbo and there is no roux, okra or filé. I am hoping to figure out a good, low carb version of gumbo – just not there yet.

    1. Thanks for letting me know! I like that recipe a lot, so I printed it and have it in my kitchen for reference. I didn’t know the name had changed. 🙂

  5. I’m curious what to do with frozen chicken breast in my electric pressure cooker. Thanks! I’m also a homeschooling mom:)
