Yummy, THM-friendly healthy Christmas breakfast ideas! #trimhealthymama #thm #christmas #lowcarb #healthy

Growing up, my family had a tradition of cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast. Once I got married, though, my husband (who does not have the sweet tooth that I do) would get sick after indulging in those cinnamon rolls. A huge blood sugar spike first thing in the morning does not make for a very nice Christmas! Then, after having a child diagnosed with Celiac Disease and subsequently finding and loving the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating, I started making something savory for Christmas breakfast. I mix up the ingredients the night before and put the food in the oven before we get started with the festivities (and with five kids, the festivities take awhile!). That way I can enjoy time with the family instead of being stuck in the kitchen.

I put together a quick list of some great, healthy breakfasts for Christmas morning that will please the whole family AND be kind to your waistline, while providing good fuel and energy for the whole day. I also have a full Christmas Day menu collection here if you need more ideas! Merry Christmas!

Sweet Breakfast Options

Cranberry Orange Muffins from Briana Thomas

  1. Yum – I will definitely try some of these. I did note that the link for the coffee cake takes me to a page that is no longer active.
